Terms of service
These terms govern your use of DocuSend at docusend.ca. By creating an account or signing a document through DocuSend, you agree to them.
The service
DocuSend lets you upload documents, request electronic signatures, and keep a record of the signing process. We provide the tools; you're responsible for the content of your documents and for deciding whether an electronic signature is appropriate for a given document and jurisdiction.
Electronic records and signatures
When you sign through DocuSend, you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature on that document, and that you consent to receive and sign records electronically. You can ask the sender for a paper copy, and you can decline to sign at any time before you finish.
Your account
- Keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Only send documents to people you have a legitimate reason to contact.
- Don't use DocuSend for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes, or to send malware or spam.
Plans and fees
Paid plans are billed in Canadian dollars in advance. Plan limits are described on the pricing page. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you're on.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep DocuSend available and your records safe, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
